I had seen somebody make pasta in Instapot and I liked the convenience of it. I searched for the same online for spaghetti, since that was what I had on hand(got it from Costco and it doesn’t seem to get over😭😭), and found one with good description(link given below).
This is an ideal meal for quick weeknight dinners. Hassle free. One pot meal. Gets done in few minutes. Add some veggies and call it healthy. Do try!
Pasta - 1 spaghetti pack
Marinara sauce - 1 24oz bottle
Water - as needed
Garlic - 2
Carrot - 1
Bell pepper - Red/Green - 2
Onion - 1
Tomato - 2 big
Broccoli - 1
Zucchini - 1
Italian seasoning - 1 tbsp
Red chili flakes - 1 tsp
Salt
Pepper
Oil
Method
Chop all vegetables into bite size pieces. Turn on sauté mode. Add oil + Italian seasoning + red chili flakes. Add finely chopped garlic. Add onion + bell pepper + carrot + salt. Sauté for few minutes.
Break Pasta into half. Separate and spread them crisscross, so that they are not together. They stick to each other otherwise. Don’t pile up. Spread it evenly. Add salt.
Add water. It should almost cover pasta.
Add chopped tomato. Cover the top with sauce. Do not mix - don’t know the reason(both videos suggested the same thing).
Add broccoli + zucchini + salt + pepper. Do not mix.
Close the lid. Press Cancel(Sauté). Press Manual + 4 min. NPR.
After it’s done, mix carefully. Garnish with cheese, more sauce(if needed) and red chili flakes(to suit Indian taste buds).
